Welcome, family.

Alright, after several attempts at persuasion, my sister has gotten a Buzznet. Please, be a friendly fellow Buzznetter and send her a friend request. (Her profile is private, though.)

Um, it's now like, a (insert random number here) project.

I obviously haven't been posting photos daily for my 365 project. Which defeats its very purpose. So, instead of having it be like, a 475 project or something since I've skipped so many days, I'm going to transfer all of my photos into a new gallery, as just lyrically inspired photos.

And, with that, I will start over. A new 365 project, and be committed to posting a photo daily. But I am breaking down the first obstacle, it will not be lyrically inspired, because that's the main culprit for the lack of ideas, and Claire being unable to post daily.

Don't worry, I will still post lyrically inspired photos. Promise.

Here's to a new 365!

-Claire

I've...changed my mind. *sigh*

K'so, after seeing the reactions to the tour, I've taken back everything I said about not wanting to go to a Paramore/No Doubt show this summer. I asked my mom, and if I were able to make the appropriate arrangements, she's cool with me going. On the exception of good grades, and, the appropriate arrangements being: paying myself, and having a friend's parent provide transportation, since the concert is far enough away.

So, basically, if I can get my friend with a willing parent to drive, then it's all good. I have a ton of summer babysitting jobs lined up, so paying for it shouldn't be a problem.

EXCEPT, for one thing. I really just want to get cheapy lawn seats. I love the bands greatly, but considering ticket prices, I'm all down for just chilling on the lawn and enjoying the show that way. The only thing: I went on Ticketmaster, and there's no way to get lawn seats. HALP PLZ?

So basically, hopefully I can make this work. Plus, if I have a nice lawn seat in the back, I can tote (k)nate along with me, and take some excellent pictures. Because (k)nate's 18x optical zoom has never failed me.

-Claire

PS: I saw a picture of the merch booth on Paramoremusic to get an idea of merch prices. $85 hoodies, yo. I iz doing a lot of babysitting this summer.

Poetry does not make sense to Claire. AT ALL.

Okay. so in LA 10, 10th grade/"grade 10" English, whatever you wish to call it, we are starting our final unit of the year. That unit being poetry. NOW, I really am not too fond of poetry. It just doesn't quite bring out my emotional and expressive side the way it should, and to be frank, it doesn't really make sense to me. It's just strange.

However, this unit we're doing, it's pretty chill. Like, we have to browse for poems we like from 4 different sources, those being our literature book, poetry books, the interwebz, and OUR FAVORITE SONG LYRICS! YAY! (The song lyrics part gets me excited. However, I'm having a hard time thinking of a really good song with excellent lyrics that mean a lot to me. But, I know that will come eventually.)

ANYWAYS, what I was getting at: poetry, in all of its weirdness. I have a poem to share with you that I read. It's actually pretty decent, until the last line. It's pretty effed up. (And, I forgot to write the author down in my notebook. Sorry!)

BIRD

I was talking in a jungle.

Oh, Bird, where did you get your color, blue, pink, and yellow.

The bird said, "I painted myself."

I asked the bird, how could you fly?

The bird said "by you carrying me"

What is your name?

"My name is Dirty Dinosaur Bird Vampire"

---

LOL SERIOUSLY. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. THAT WAS PRINTED IN THE BOOK. FREALS!

I showed it to my teacher, and she just laughed, and told me I always picked the worst books, purely on accident.

Really, it doesn't make sense. But I laughed at it for a good five minutes. Hey, you would too. DON'T LIE.

In other news, my sister has persauded me to go to Warped Tour this year. Beleive it or not, she's a huge fan of 3OH!3 (yeah, I can't belive it either), and she said that she absolutley has to see them, along with The Maine live this summer. For me- I just really want to see bands like Bayside, Valencia, Sing It Loud, Conditions, and some others. I'm open to really seeing anyone, there's enough good bands this year that I'm totally okay with going. However, I will miss my friends like Paramore (I wanted to go to their Milwaukee show on July 2nd, but I think I lost my chance at getting tickets, and I have to one to go with. *cries in the corner*), New Found Glory, The Academy Is..., Anberlin, Gym Class Heroes, and Cobra Starship. Hey, there's always Warped 2010, right? *Wink wink, nutch nutch* But as for my Warped plan this year, I'm just gonna go with the flow and not plan on having to see one band on the MUST SEE list I made. That just makes it too stressful, and often ends up in dissapointment. Plus, this always eliminates fighting with the sisterface. WIN WIN SICHIASHION GUISE!

And now, well, I leave you with a shitty note: I got a 9:30 on my mile today. Blah.

Claire's favorite songs of the moment.

Alright, so this is something new. I've obviously shown you that I am unable to post "weekly playlists"...um, weekly, so I will share a bunch of songs/artists/albums that I've been borderline obsessed with. Should be fun, and I'm open to suggestions! (ie: if you like these guys, you'd really like ______, that sort of thing.) I really want to discuss favorite artists among my Buzznet friends more. :)

THE AUDITION AKA "AUDIZZLE"

All of their new album. I'm listening to it now, and I have been listening to it A TON since I got it at the end of last month. FAVORITE TRACKS: The Running Man, The Way You Move, My Temperature's Rising, It's Gonna Be Hard (When I'm Gone).

SING IT LOUD

Both their EP and "Come Around". I am like, obsessed with the song No One Can Touch Us. (Obvi, the new banner). I also like Don't Save Me and Bite Your Lip.

FOUR YEAR STRONG

If He's Here, Who's Runnin' Hell?

Great, upbeat, energetic song!

THE ACADEMY IS...

We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands

Because TAI is love. I've decided that if it were possible, I would actually marry the band itself.

BAYSIDE

SHUDDER: Boy, A Call To Arms, The Ghost of St. Valentine, No One Understands, ACOUSTIC: Devotion And Desire, Montauk, Winter, SELF TITLED: Devotion And Desire, Montauk

I've fallen in love with the band since seeing them w/ NFG last month

BRENDON URIE, CEE-LO GREEN, JANELLE MONAE, PATRICK STUMP, and TRAVIS MCCOY

Open Happiness (Original Butch Walker Coke Mix)

Such a great, happy song. Puts me in a great mood no matter what :)

CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR

Doctor

I swear, in the bridge, Shaant says "I'll be your whore" once instead of saying "I'll Be Your Cure". HMMM....

A DAY TO REMEMBER

Over My Head (Cover as heard on PGP2)

Just one of my favorite tracks from the compilation

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

The Open Door EP

I am so loving the demo of Talking Bird, and I also like I Was Once A Loyal Lover and My Mirror Speaks.

DRY SPELLS

Smile

Um, its great. LINKAGE! (It's a random vid, but just listen to the background music)

THE MACCABEES

Toothpaste Kisses

Because British bands are love. MORE LINKAGE!

MEG AND DIA

Halloween

So the whole line "I'm only myself when I'm with you" was probably used by a billion and one pop sensations ~coughtswiftcough~, but whatever the stuck up kids at my school are singing along to, I will know that Meg and Dia are actually way awesomer.

NEW FOUND GLORY (Yes, I did.)

Too Good To Be

Possibly THE cutest, happiest acoustic song...ever.

RED CAR WIRE

Timing Just Isn't Your Thing

Okay, so at first, I really didn't like these guys. But this song is so freakin' catchy!

THE RESCUES

Break Me Out

My sister sent me this, and right afterwards, my parents asked me if I liked this group because their music was featured on Grey's Anatomy. Cool stuff!

SAM SPARRO

Black and Gold

It's just awesome. Period.

SLEEPER AND THE SLEEPLESS

Not Yet

Yes, our like OMGTEENIDOL/FAVORITE SINGER EVAR totally name dropped these guys, but they are EXCELLENT singers. EXCELLENT!

SPARKS THE RESCUE

Autumn

Great energy. That is all. Even though the title is Autumn, this will probably be one of my favorite songs this summer.

THIS PROVIDENCE

The album: Who Are You Now? FAVORITE TRACKS: Sand In Your Shoes (Acoustic), Playing The Villain

TONY ORLANDO AND DAWN

Knock Three Times

Total oldies-ish, but IT'S THE CUTEST SONG TO EXIST. GO LISTEN TO IT NOW!

VERSA EMERGE

In Pursuing Design

I talked about them briefly a journal or so back.

JEM

Yellow

Yes, it's a cover of the well know Coldplay song. SO FREAKING AMAZING. BTW, it's from a Starbucks compilation.

THERE FOR TOMORROW

Remember When? (Used To Be Used To It)

A tribute to my mother on Mother's Day.

I really couldn't find many pictures. I will do my best, though.

Well, there she is, being completely awesome. I actually love this picture of her.

So, um, this was on our haul from California to Wisconsin when I was 10. As you might know, I did used to live in California. My mom thought it would be funny to stand by this sign and point two different ways, but we kind of...failed. LOL at how short I am. Like, 4'5''.

Ca. 2006. I look like I'm trying to strangle her or something, but I promise, I wasn't. :)

After my mom ran a marathon. She's wearing a tarp because it was cold, not because she enjoys wearing tarps.

And of course, without my mom, I wouldn't be able to do badass stuff like this. So thank you mom, for being a badass.

That's all the pictures I have. So, in general, I heart my mother. That is all.

Claire's new favorite bands.

VersaEmerge

Okay, so I know I'm slow on listening to this band. I've heard talk about them so much on Buzznet for a while, and I finally heard their song In Pursuing Design when I got the Take Action Compilation a while ago. I also just watched the Past Worth Praying For video and was very impressed. They are an amazing band with a solid line up.

My one main point: Sierra Kusterbeck. She has a vagina and gapped teeth, but she IS NOT Hayley Williams. I will repeat myself, she is not! I am amazed at the lack of comparissons that have been made, but I just want to say that I do not think that this band is at all like Paramore. They have a completely different sound, and Sierra's voice is much different souding. There, I have said it. *exhale*

Sparks The Rescue

I have gotten so many freakin' mobile updates and emails and whatnot from Fearless about this band. I really didn't think it was that big of a deal, but I finally took advantage of one of their free downloads for my listening pleasure. OH MY WOW! They are very pop-punk, and they have very catchy melodies. I do believe they are guilty of having screams in some of their songs (as I have heard from iTunes previews), but overall, they are excellent.

Well, my friends, now it's your turn. Any new bands to recommend?
