Because I just played the FOB trail game for the very first time. And I don't even like FOB.

I only made it to New Orleans. The frustration it took to get there was worthwhile and amusing.

1. My mom says that I am the most abnormal teenager, ever. I keep my room very tidy, and I'm not eager to get my driver's license.

2. I was born in California. I lived there until I was 10. There are some things about it that I miss, but others that I do not.

3. I love pistachios.

This is a cartoon that came in my box of pistachios today.

4. I clearly love music. It is my entire life. Besides Buzznetting and rocking out to TAI, I play flute, saxophone, and piano. Mhmm, I'm a band nerd. Don't worry, it's cool.

I also take private lessons in all three instruments. I'm pretty intense. In addition to the lessons, I play in the Youth Symphony of the Green Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra, and give piano lessons.

5. Even though I was totally Twitter/Journal spazzing about it, I really don't have much school spirit. Yeah, going to Mad-town for a state basketball championship was a fun time, but I really, actually, really hate my school. It's filled with illiterate losers who obsess over athletics and ignore music.

7. This may or may not have anything to do with the fact that I'm in a youth symphony, but I love listening to classical music.

8. I have pretty much had it up to ~here~ with scene kids. Kids who draw attention to themselves and whine about their miniscule problems and act all "emo".

One of my biggest pet peeves is the entire word "emo". It's changed so much that it can't even be taken seriously. Think of Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate, or Copeland- the bands the defined "emo". The bands with lyrics that meant something. I can't tolerate any of the meaningless crap that's considered "emo". (Okay, rant over.)

The weekend is FINALLY here, so now I can FINALLY look at some stories! Yeah, sorry, (to Paija too.. ha) but I as a major procrastinator/busy bee every day of my life, I was never a fan of the March 17th deadline. I'll be sending some story comments back tomorrow, possibly even one tonight!

I just re-arranged my room, and I feel very accomplished. I am extremely proud of the way it turned out. :)

Also, in the process, I found my sister's old graphing calculator, which means I won't have to spend $100 on a new one for myself next year for advanced algebra. YAY!

I appreciate all of the comments on my prettyfullness, but truth be told, I do not look like this.

I often find myself ~fancying up~ for the camera, and I'm not sure if I like myself for doing that.

What if this picture looked like this?

Because this is what I really, truly, actually look like. Would you still say this picture is pretty? Or is it the makeup that makes it?

Because honestly, if we were to chill in real life (AHEMTRIPOD), I would look more like:

Why do we wear makeup? Are we trying to impress people? Are we not satisfied with the way we look naturally?

In your opinion, what do you think crosses the line as far as making temporary (or maybe permanent) changes to your appearance?

Now answer this question honestly: if you were given the choice to give up your collection of make up (or beauty supplies- straightener, hairdryer, nail polish- for those non makeup wearers), would you? Would you still feel as confident about yourself? Would you still consider yourself "pretty"?

What if you were forced to sacrifice the beauty tools? Would this make you feel uncomfortable, sad, angry, or just plain upset?

I just wanted to say- awesome job to all of you who entered! I've been reading the entries I've been sent so far, and I must say, everything I have seen has been amazing! Each and every one of these stories has an amazing story line and background, and I can seriously feel the emotion and drama, like, oozing out of the words. (Ha, that's weird sounding.)

Here's what is going to happen after the deadline:

If you sent us a story, --either through a private message or posted as a journal-- we'll send it back to you with any of our comments included through a private message.  

Once Paija and I finally finish clawing each other's eyes out over who's submission was the best, we'll post our favorites, with our opinions on the story included.

My other thoughts:

I'm really thinking that there won't be a definite "winner", simply because I think singling out one person is rude and hurtful to other people.

Also, remember that opinions are very subjective. There is no right and wrong to writing. (Unless we're talking about grammar, that's a different story.) There should be no whining or interwebz-temper tantrums if your submission was not "selected" as our "favorite". Each and every story we have and will receive is absolutley great, and does not "suck". The entire purpose of this challenge is to put your creativity to the test, and for us to share our opinions on our writing styles and ideas with each other as fellow Buzznetters.  In no way do we want this to get ugly and burn bridges between us and other people on this website.

So, with that being said- FANTASTIC job to all of you who accepted this writing challenge and put your creativity to the test, and if you still haven't submitted your story on March 17th, Paija and I will most likely light an imaginary fire under your Buzznet butt. :)

Alright, so in between solo and ensemble and the division 1 finals basketball game last night, I fell asleep. For 3 hours.

I had the most interesting dreams that I've had in a while. Claire must share:

Everything was on fire and I was running around ( I recall looking for Sisky, I'm not sure if it was the real one :::sigh::: or my ipod) and my friend was screaming for me to straighten out my priorities and call 911, but I was like, running though fire and not burning?

It reminded me very much of the Grapevine Fires video, only, not really. Just the idea of running through flames. Except I wasn't burning. WTF.

Hmmm.

Then,

I went to the basketball game, and they were handing out free copies of Not Without a Fight. And I took like 7. (Because 7's a good number, obviously.) But no one was paying attention when they announced that they were handing out free copies of the cd, so I got really upset.

Which is why I took 7, and I gave them to a bunch of people.

Then I got kicked out of the basketball game for forcing music on people that was associated with promoting violent behavior. I also got suspended from school.

I had a classic "NOOOOO!!" moment as I'm being dragged out of the gymnasium by a bunch of security guards/a mob of angry people?

What's scary as fuck is that dreams are ~supposedly~ associated with your life in some way.

Whatever. Have you guys been having any dreams that weirded you out lately?

that I have ever taken of TAI in my entire life. Unfortunaley, I didn't realize their significance until now. And that is why I am in repeated headdesk mode for not staying for the entire durration of this set. I can't remember why I didn't stay, exactly, but I am super ashamed of myself.

I'm super tired and have tons of homework. What really made it bad was that I almost got into a car accident. Wait, I should specify. I was the potential cause of said accident. It was scary as fuck. Mom screamed at me a lot. I'd rather not go into details, just that I hate double lane roundabouts.
