VMA summary: my thoughts

okay, so i've given it a day, and now i will give a brief overview of the vma's, and my opinons

so, i did all of my homework and chores, and turned on the tv at exactly 7:00 pm for the preshow.

it really was just some creeper interviewer making phone calls to people in limos from a hellecopter. haha.

i really can't stand miley cyrus at all, though. i was ready to pull my hair out durning her interview with katy perry and taylor swift. she sounded like such a ditz.

i loved tokio hotel's entrance, even though it wasn't very environmentally friendly.

speaking of environmentally friendly, I loved paramore's entrance in smart cars. it was so cool. and i love hayley's new hair. she's so pretty, and i must say, this is her best look yet. also, i have no idea what made me think this, but when they first got out (btw i didn't even recognize zac... he looks so different!) i thought that they were we are scientists. idk. i just saw two guys that looked olderish and reminded me of them. but then i saw hayley's awesome hair and i was like ooohhh yay there here! hahaha.

i also loved the dance crews... and im glad fanny pak won! they were so awesome!

then the offical thing started.britney's little opening skit was funny. rhianna's performance was... ehhh. well, it didn't really like it. maybe because i don't really like that song, but she still is awesome.

oh my... russel brand is so hillarious! i like almost peed my pants after the first 10 minutes! such an amazing and hillarious dude.

i really wanted katy perry to win best female, but im still happy britney won, though. i think it was out of mercy vote, though.

i didn't really like the fact that the pcd won the best dancing video. watching them do their long list of thankyous was really obnoxious. anyone here think that poppin' should have been nominated and won?!?!? *raises hand high, eagerly*

i really stopped paying attention until paramore's performance came. they were introduced by the twilight cast, which was cool, because hayley said she's into twilight and stuff...but i got so confused from the performance! someone help and explain, please!! because they said they were performing in the whiskey club or whatever across the street, but then for josh's guitar solo, he all of a sudden is on the stage in the other room... across the street?! how?!!? my sister said that  they were in the original room the whole time, they just had a sheet in front of them and pictures to make it look like the other room. someone please help me, im a little bit lot slow.

a little bit bummed that paramore didn't win, especially after their awesome performance. i would have expected them to lose to slipknot or foo fighters... but seriously? i dont think i've ever seen that linkin park video in my life. i had no idea it was nominated, let alone existed. oh well, maybe next year.

moving on,

i seriously thought the whole slipknot/mclovin' combo was hysterical. i laughed so hard.

i can't remember who won best hip hop. wow. i know, i'm a dissapointment.

pink's performance was so cool! i loved it! amazing! i've been in love with her music since, like, the second grade, when i bought missundastood (with my allowance, hah)!!!

also i'd like to add that around this time my mom started to watch with me, and not knowing anything as usual, said this:

"so when does death cab for cutie perform?!"

wow i laughed so hard. i was like, mom, seriously. you know nothing. i wonder what possesed her to think that they would be there... well.. i wonder if they were, pretty much everyone was there.. haha... i found out the cab was there later on!

kid rock's performance... well...

as sad as it is... that song is really kinda catchy... with the piano and all. i hate it so much i actually like it a little. that one rapper needs to pull up his pants. sorry idk rappers names at all.

christina agulera's performance was good! she's cool too! also a fan, like, since i was 8 or so :D

fast forwarding to best new artist...

YAY! tokio hotel won! im so happy for them! seeing bill's reaction was great, they def. deserve it. amazing band.

so after britney won 2 more awards... wow! do i smell a comeback?

and skipping to the end

kanye was epic. wow.

but then again, he is kanye.

okay, that's about it!

i enjoyed it, but i can't wait for next year!

but even closer... the grammy's!

my top 15 favorite songs!

okay, i've seen a bunch of these, so i'll do one myself

my top 15 favorite songs are:

15. Pull Shapes- The Pipettes

This is such a feel good, upbeat song. It's impossible to listen to it without wanting to move around and sing along. I love it! And they're British. Gahhh. I love British music. If your from England, I'm so jealous of you! I want to live there so bad!

14. Ultraviolet- The Stiff Dylans

Another British band. Anyways, this song is great. To me, they're like the British version of The Maine.

13. Do Ya- Mc Fly

Last British song guys! This is amazing. My sister made a mix cd to listen to on our way to Warped, and this was the first track on it. Every time it comes on, she turns the volume way up and we sing along.

12. Noel- All Time Low

Old All Time Low picture, because it's an old All Time Low Song! This one's off The Party Scene, in case you didn't know. It's amazing.

11. Can't Stay The Same- Saves The Day

I love this song. I don't know what else to say about it. Simply amazing.

10. Understatement- New Found Glory

I know it's an older song by them, but I've been listening to it a lot lately, and it's really really good!

9. Rise Above This- Seether

I first saw this video on FUSE, and Jared said they were from South Africa?! I think that's way rad. But yeah, love this song.

8. Ready, Set, Go!- Tokio Hotel

I love this song. Another song I heard for the first time on FUSE. In the beginning of the video, I was like, no way, this band looks really scary, it's probably really screamo or intense, but I was surprised that it wasn't. And, Bill is really kinda cute. I mean, sure, he has crazy hair and wears a lot of makeup, but... look at his smile!! :D And they all have the most adorable German accents! And one more thing- I love how they're one of the few bands I listen to don't wear tight pants.

7. Seduction- Alesana

I don't really like too much screamo, but this song is really really good! I got it on the Warped Tour Compilation, and then again on a Fearless Records Compilation.

6. Dare4Distance- Nevershoutnever!

I love this song. Christofer Drew has an amazing voice.

5. Think Of You Later(Empty Room)- Every Avenue

I love this song. Especially seeing them acoustically at Warped, sitting literally two feet in front of them. When they played this song, at some point, Josh and Jimmie stopped playing guitar, and we all were just singing. (Think of you later in my empty room, where I-I, I-I... I fall asleep alone..)

4. Hot N Cold- Katy Perry

This song has grown on me. But I love it. Katy Perry is so amazing. I don't know anyone who doesn't like her.

3. Why Do You Run?- Ace Enders

I love Ace Enders. I also liked him in the Early November, but I think he is much better as a solo artist. His voice in this song is so amaingly flawless. I would love to see him live.

2. Jamie All Over- Mayday Parade

I am just getting into this song. I used to skip over it on my ipod all the time, and now I wonder how I could have ever done that.

1. I'll Run- The Cab

Wow! I have the demo version of this song, but after hearing the complete version in the music video- wow! Not to mention, Alex Marshall is really cute!

Okay, that's it!
