what do you guys think?

Check Yes, Juliet was on the radio. Without a doubt, it will be overplayed, but what do you guys think?

It could be good or bad for WTK, because after it's been played several times daily, people will start to get sick of it and not like the song anymore.

For me, I'm fine, as long as they don't destroy the rest of their album on the radio.

One of my pet peeves is people who will only buy artist's singles, and not the entire cd.

But that's just my opinion.

comment?

This is definitley the wickedest thing I ever hear in MAH LIFE!

Hell to the yes for my Petey Pablo reference!

As my very first journal here at Buzznet, I have the honor of posting a post- Warped Tour ZOMG experience journal.

This has been brought to you by my fanigirlishness. Please, enjoy. :)

Basically, I woke up in freakout mode. I had never been to a concert or festival of any nature before, so I was nervous and excited at the same time. I didn't think it would be that much fun, because alot of the bands that I thought would be playing actually weren't, so it seemed like the entire day would be a major letdown.

OHMAN, I was way wrong. Here's how it all went down:

Since it was a 2 hour drive, I took off around 8:30. I was going with my sister, which I was totally fine with! We realized we forgot to pack water for the car ride, so about halfway there, we stopped at a gas station and bought some. I attempted to drink and entire liter of water before getting there. I drank about 7/8 of it. I had heard everyone stress hydration when reading up on other people's Warped experiences.

Now of course, our favorite thing ever, road construction, had to play a part in this somehow. The only exit on the entire  highway that was closed was the one that we needed. We got very much turned around in (the not very good at all part of) Milwaukee. I called my dad at work in a panic, so he could help us out, which he did. We eventually made it there around 10:45 after all of that. Then, we made another quick check in with the parents, then waited in line to get in. I actually wasn't handed as many flyers as I expected, which was good, I guess!

After we were inside and everything was good to go, we heard Mayday Parade on (I think it was) the Ernie Ball stage. It probably wasnt though. I got all of the stages mixed up, it was so ridiculous.

Anyways, the set was cool. I'm not a huge fan, but I still enjoyed seeing them! We came in right as they were playing When I Get Home You're So Dead. I didn't really want to stay, but then they started playing Jersey... one of my favorites off of their latest cd. Then, they played Three Cheers For Five Years, which resulted in the crown freaking out. I had actually only heard the acoustic version before, so hearing it electric (and LIVE!) was an amazing thing.

Next, we decided to just walk around and explore our surroundings. We took a picture of the lineup, so we could then look at the picture for future reference.

Not really knowing where we were going, we were led to believe that Katy Perry was playing at 1:00, so we went into the ampitheatre, and found a spot really close the the front. Only to find a sign that said: Katy Perry will be here at 8:00. (MAJORPHAIL.)

We ended up spending 2 bucks on an info sheet. It helped, though. After walking around, we saw The Color Fred. I had only heard one song by them before this day, so I didn't know what to expect. They were actually really good. I made it up to about the second row. We stayed for the entire set, because we knew that after that was We The Kings!

I made it all the way up to the front, so I was leaning over the barricade, and then waited for 30 minutes before they came on. At this point in the day, the weather was really nice, so the wait wasn't ~totally~ unbearable. I pretty much freaked out when they came on. My fangirly side became unleashed, as I realized that apparently I know just about every word to all of the songs they played. They played all of my favorites: Skyway Avenue, Secret Valentine, Stay Young, and Check Yes Juliet. Travis was so hillarious. Right before (or possibly after?) playing Stay Young, he said: "You guys are so sexy!!" and then right before Secret Valentine he was like "yeah, we're gonna play a song about sexual intercourse. You guys don't mind at all, do you?" Well, this was OFFICIALLY declared my first concert experience, and what better way to spend it than rocking out to We The Kings, in the front row?

After We The Kings, we headed over to the main stage to see Motion City Soundtrack. We didn't get there soon enough, because we were kinda far back. It was nice though, so we could breathe a little bit. I didn't want to stay too long, but they played a bunch of good ones that I knew really well. They played This Is For Real, Broken Heart, and LGFUAD.

Right before LGFUAD, the lead singer (please, excuse me for not knowing his name) was like: "Uh, this one's tame. Good message." Followed by: "let's get fucked up and die..." and the crowd went nuts. They also played Everything Is Alright, which, I was surprised I knew all of the words to. That's not one thats easy to have memorized.

Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes,
Talking with strangers, waiting in line..

I'm sick of the things I do when I'm nervous
Like cleaning the oven or checking my tires
Or counting the number of tiles in the ceiling..
Head for the hills, the kitchen's on fire!

We left after a couple of songs, and headed for the ampitheatre to see Every Avenue. Now, I wasn't a big fan of these guys before today. But I must say, after seeing this performance, I was officially convinced that they are amazing! They played a great set!

(And, I have an offical ~fangirl~ crush on Mr. Joshua Randall.)

After EA, we ventured off to Chipolte for some food, the checked out The Audition. The set was great, I must say. They sound so good live, lots of great energy, but not too crazy. They probably came in a close second to We The Kings as far as my favorite performaces are concerned. Danny was also really funny, with his dance moves and all.
"Guys, I just swallowed a bunch of my hairs in that last song. It's the worst feeling in the world"

They opened with Edinboro, played 2 songs from Controversy Loves Company (that I cannot remember! *facepalm*), and the last one we saw was Hell To Sell. (I got a video of part of this song here!) We left their set early because we wanted to get to the We The Kings signing at the AP tent.

Then, so began our wait for the signing outside the AP tent. While I was waiting, I was asked to listen to some music of the band Karrigan. They're really good, and the guy (who we later confirmed he was in the band, not a merch guy) was really funny. He really liked my shirt, which made me smile.

After we were done talking to the guy, we found out that they only let 100 people into the signing, and I was not one of those 100. We stuck around anyways, and hung out really close to the tent. We planned to politely ambush the band after they were done, if we could. I was really mad I wasn't let into the signing, because I already bought their cd on iTunes, but I bought a copy of the cd at their merch tent just for them to sign. We kept getting yelled at for being too close to the tent, which freaked me out.We waited, and after the last person was gone, the band was there for about a second and a half, and my sister BASICALLY pushed me into the tent. I briefly talked to Drew (who was the only band member left in the tent) in the most awkward way possible, and got him to sign my cd.

I had given up on getting any other signatures, I figured one was still really good. BUT:

My sister had spotted Travis a few feet away, and urged me to talk to him. I pretty much said HIIMTWELVEYEARSOLDCANIHAVEAPICTRUE? But, nonetheless, the moment was amazing. Travis is adorable. He signed my cd with a smiley face. Ha.

After that, it was time for the Every Avenue acoustic set. We got there extra early, which was not a problem at all! (Considering I had been offically won over by Every Avenue's catchy music.)

I totally spied Charlotte of Charlotte Sometimes there. I lurked, and got a picture. I liked her outfit a lot!

We were finally allowed to sit down, and let me add that we were sitting TWO FREAKIN' FEET away from the band. I was like, about to pee myself. The entire set was amazing. I got like, almost all of the band to sign this measly piece of paper. I didn't have anything for them to sign, which was a little upsetting.

We had missed Cobra Starship's set for the Every Avenue Acoustic set, but I guess that's life. You can't always get what you want.

We also missed the opportunity to get to TAI's set early enough, so we only heard about a song-and-a-half of theirs. I believe it was Neighbors. Good stuff, I love The Academy Is...!

Around now, we decided that we were done seeing bands for the day, as we were exhausted, and it looked like it was about to storm soon. We browsed around the merch tables, and we were bamboozled into buying YET another cd.

That's it! I don't blame you if you didn't read this in it's entirety.

CDs I purchased:

1.) We The Kings- Self titled/full length

2.) Oh, The Places You'll Go EP- Lights Out Dancing

3.) It's Nothing Personal- A Dream Of Reality

4.) My Consience Got The Best Of Me- Karrigan

5.) No More Sad Face EP- Single File
